Income Tax Department has invited FAPCCI

      The Income Tax department, Hyderabad is observing “Vigilance Awareness Week” from October 25, 2010 to November 01, 2010.

      In connection with a talk on “Maintenance of probity in public life and prevention of corruption”. In this connection a highly inspiring and elucidating talk was given by honorable Justice Mr. P. Venkatarami Reddy, Chairman, Law Commission of India. The department has invited the office bearers and members of managing committee to attend this program, FAPCCI being a very important stakeholder Mr. Shekhar Agarwal, President, FAPCCI, Mr. Koteshwara Rao, Past President, Mr. Suraj Prasad Agarwal, Past President, Mr. Ajay Jain, Chairman, Direct Taxation Committee and Mr. M.V. Rajeshwara Rao, Secretary General participated in the program.  
       Mr. A.K. Basu, The Chief Commissioner, Income tax Department, in his welcome address maintained that honesty is very important, without honesty and integrity. The public perception of the department will remain negative. The corruption has social problems and coated few examples as to how public spend 21,000 crores in the country to get simple public services such as power, water, issue of license..etc.
      Mr. P. Venkatrami Reddy said vigilance importance in his key speech is that the vigilance is a small step but important step towards clear administration. He is expressed that the greater wealth is to live with limited money. He also said that “when men are pure hence laws are useless; when men are corrupted laws are broken”. Mr. Venkatrami Reddy remembered to all “Honesty is telling truth to others and integrity is telling truth to self”.
      Mr. Mukesh Kumar, DG, Vigilance and Mr. Jaini, Chief Commissioner of Income tax III along with many businessmen and professionals are participated in the meeting.
