"India Engineering Sourcing Show - 2014” from Jan 22- 24, 2014 at Mumbai


The EEPC India (Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India) in association with The Federation of AP Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI) is jointly organized a Seminar on “Opportunities for Exports of Engineering Products & India Engineering Sourcing Show (IESS) - 2014” today at J.S. Krishnamurthy Hall, Federation House, Red Hills, Hyderabad.  Mr. Mahesh K Desai, Regional Chairman, EEPC INDIA, was the key note speaker for this occasion.

Mr. Srinivas Ayyadevara, President, FAPCCI, Mr. C H Nadiger, Regional Director, EEPC INDIA, Mr. Shyam Sunder Pasari, Chairman, International Trade, FAPCCI, Ms. Vydehi P, Secretary (I/c), FAPCCI and many other industrialists and technicians have participated at the seminar.


Mr. Srinivas Ayyadevara said in his welcome address is that the Engineering sector is one of the largest sectors among the industrial segments in India.  Indian engineering industry accounts for 27 per cent of the total factories in industrial sector and represents 63 per cent of the overall foreign collaborations.  During 2012-2013, exports from the sector stood at US$ 51 billion.  Engineering exports mainly include transport equipment, capital goods, other machinery/ equipment and light engineering products like castings, forgings and fasteners. Indian engineering companies are scouting for newer markets (like Latin America, Africa etc.) for exports along with strengthening their base in the US and Europe.

Several Foreign companies are outsourcing industrial engineering design tasks from Indian firms in sectors like semiconductors, automotive hybrid technologies, telecom, power generation equipments, aerospace, avionics and consumer electronics, besides setting up research and development (R&D) centers in the country.  Moreover, India particularly Andhra Pradesh is one of the leading offshore destinations in delivering engineering research and development (ER&D) services.   Andhra Pradesh produces several engineers every year and has a strong pool of scientists and engineers, vast institutional network, and cost effective manufacturing Mr. Srinivas said.

Mr. Mahesh K Desai, Regional Chairman, EEPC INDIA, requested the members of FAPCCI, and all industrialists to participate in the forthcoming mega events “INDEE – VIETNAM 2013” scheduled to organize from October 10-12, 2013, at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC), Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and “India Engineering Sourcing Show - 2014” scheduled to organize from January 22- 24, 2014 at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai and reap the benefit.

He said that, the India Engineering Sourcing Show (IESS) is India’s largest display of Engineering Products and Services and focuses on building global partnerships with India. IESS is recognized as the only sourcing event in India – showcasing the latest technologies and a preferred meeting place for buyers and sellers from all over the world. International companies keen to enter Indian markets find IESS as an opportune meeting place for product launches, India distributor or partner search etc.
