Dr. (Mrs). S. Aruna Kumari said in his special address that the – Health defines physical and mental will being of the individual. But who is responsible for the well being it is we. The hospital, doctors will take care of only curative aspects of the disease.
Now the health department’s main concern is not only communicable diseases but also non-communicable disease. Non-communicable diseases have become a major priority area. A report by WHO indicates that shortly in India, the deaths of non-communicable disease will be more then the communicable disease. Government is trying bringing awareness among the people for healthy life through various means. In spite of that smoking, excessive drinking, unhealthy diet and lack of exercise still persists among the people thus shortening their life expectance.
The government is starting Jawahar Bala Arogya Raksha cards to the all children from November 14 onwards. Through this scheme the government is providing free medical health care to the all children in all over corporate and super specialty hospitals. Under National Rural Health Mission and Rajeev Arogyashree the governments helping the people below poverty line, to get corporate care.
Dr. Gokhale presented a power point presentation on “Happy and Healthy Heart”. In this occasion he said that the “working..working…and working is the only Mantra for long and healthy living of the humans.
Mr. Narayana Chetty Gelli, IAS, (Retd.) 103+ years, Mr. Y.G. Krishna Murthy, Practicing Advocate, 100+ years explained theit healthy tips and equallient yoga, walking and limited nutrition food and peaceful and planning life will give 100+ years to every human.
Mr. Shekhar Agarwal, President, FAPCCI, Mr. Naresh Chandra Gelli, President, HMA also spoke on this occasion.
