Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest of the program, Sri. Narendra Kumar Bhola, Regioinal Director, South Eastern Region, Ministry of Company Affairs, said the new bill will reduce the complexities in the current Companies Act, 1956.

The main speaker of the day, Dr. P.V.S. Jagan Mohan Rao, Central Council Member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, detailed the Companies Bill, 2012 and Bhagavad Gita’s relevance to the Corporate Governance while linking to various portions of Bhagavad Gita to the corporate affairs as follows:
The management is a process of aligning people and getting them committed to work for a common goal to the maximum social benefit - in search of excellence. The critical question in all managers' minds is how to be effective in their job. The answer to this fundamental question is found in the Bhagavad Gita, which repeatedly proclaims that “you must try to manage yourself”.

The Bhagavad Gita, written thousands of years ago, enlightens us on all managerial techniques leading us towards a harmonious and blissful state of affairs in place of the conflict, tensions, poor productivity and absence of motivation and so on, common in most of Indian enterprises today – and probably in enterprises in many other countries.

Sri. Devendra Surana, President, FAPCCI, Sri V.S. Raju, Past President, FAPCCI, Mr. M.V. Rajeshwara Rao, Secretary General, FAPCCI, Sri K.K. Rao, Chairman, Hyderabad Chapter of Cost Accountants, CA Laxmi Nivas Sharma, Former President, FAPCCI and Central Council Member, ICAI, CS Ramakrishna Gupta, Chairman of Hyderabad Chapter of Company Secretaries has also participated.
