The FAPCCI In association with Intel Technology India Private Limited have jointly organized Seminar on ‘SMB Express – How to Make It Work for Your Businesses’ today evening at Federation House, Red Hills, Hyderabad. Mr. Sanjay Jaju, IAS, Secretary to Govt., I.T. & Communications, Govt. of A.P was the chief guest for the workshop.
Mr. V.S Raju, President, FAPCCI, Mr. Devendra Surana, Sr. Vice President, FAPCCI, Mr. Atul Bengeri, from Intel Technology India Pvt. Ltd, Mr. M. M. Sreeram Murthy, Chairman, Industrial Development Committee, FAPCCI and Mr. M.V. Rajeshwara Rao, Secretary General, FAPCCI have the other key speakers at the occasion.
Mr. Sanjay Jaju said that the - SMB Express is an Endeavour to connect the SMB to new IT opportunities, SMB Express is designed to be a One-Stop shop that contains a diverse gamut of technology solutions designed to address this market. Majorly the SMB sector contributes 45% of industrial output, 40% of exports, employing 60 million people, create 1.3 million jobs every year and SME’s contribution towards GDP in 2009 was 17%.
Mr Jaju also said that the Government is very shortly bringing out hardware policy in the Andhra Pradesh to develop and encourage electronic & hardware industry in the State. The Government is very shortly launching a one stop solution web portal for entire governmental departmental services of State and Central Governments. This web portal will give e solutions, e governance, billing, e payments, commercial and non commercial services, tax, electricity, water and such all others departmental services.
Mr. V.S. Raju, President FAPCCI said that the MSMEs play a pivotal role in the overall industrial economy of the country. MSMEs in India account for more than 80% of the total number of industrial enterprises and produce over 8000 value-added products. In recent years, the MSME sector has consistently registered higher growth rate compared to the overall industrial sector. The major advantage of the sector is its employment potential at low capital cost.
Mr. Raju also said that Andhra Pradesh has witnessed high growth in IT sector in the past one decade, due to the proactive initiatives taken by the Government in terms of creation of state-of-the-art physical infrastructure, provision of basic amenities such as roads, water, sewerage and power to the doorsteps of IT Layouts, availability of large English speaking and technical talent pool, lower cost of operation and innovative e-Governance programs. Today, Andhra Pradesh is a valued destination for ICT Industry and the State is acknowledged as a global ICT Hub. Andhra Pradesh is one of the foremost State in the country to have a ICT Policy, to make Andhra Pradesh one of the four runners in IT sector in the Country.
Mr. Devendra Surana explained about the business relations between IT sector and Industry and he honoured the guests with mementos and later offered vote of thanks.
