The Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI) in Association with World Heard Federation and The New Indian Express English Daily jointly organized a Walk for Healthy Heart One World, One Home, One Heart “WALKaTHAN 2011” on 28 September 2011 at Kasu Brahmananda Reddy Park, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. Mr. V.S. Raju, President, FAPCCI was the chief guest for this Walkathon 2011.
Mr. K. Bhaskar Reddy, Managing Director, Creamline Dairy Private Limited, Mr. Ramakanth Inani, Leading CA, Mr. Shiv Kumar Rungta, Banking, Chairman, Finance & Insurance Committee, FAPCCI, Mr. Venkat B, Asst. Director, FAPCCI, Mr. Amaan, Senior Sales Manager, The New Indian Express, Mr. Ch. Amar, Mr. J. Leela Krishna, Mr. R. Krishna, Mr. G. Rajendra Prasad, Mr. B. Venkatesh, Mr. T. Raja, Mr. Abhijeet, Mr. G. Madhusudhan Reddy, Mr. T. Sravan Kumar Reddy from Indian Express group and Mr. Ch. Ramesh, Ms. Aria Sales Manager Jabber, Shankar from Bisleri mineral water group and many others from industrial and professional sector and students from various places have participated in the Walkathon 2011.
Mr. V.S. Raju that the heart disease and stroke are the world’s leading causes of death claiming 17.1 million lives each year. At least 80% premature deaths from heart disease and stroke could be avoided if the main risk factors, tobacco, unhealthy diet and physical inactivity are controlled.
Mr. Amaan informed to the participants is that the Indian Express Group in association with Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI) is organized a “Walkathon 2011 for Healthy Heart” to create awareness among the general public on heart diseases and stroke’s.
